Took A While

Hello dear reader! My name is Yeabfikir. You can call me Yeab because it is possible that you skimmed over my name and gave up on pronouncing it. No judgement here. The first part of my name, Yeab, is common in Ethiopia, where I am from. The whole of my name means the love of God, unconditional love, agape. Here, I write stories and poems about some of my memories that have become significant over the years. I have not processed most of them so I’ll be processing them as I write to you. Consider them (funny? extremely humorous and intelligent?) letters from a friend because I consider you a friend. As such, I want to hear from you too when you get the chance. I appreciate your time and thoughtfulness. In addition, I will also hopefully write about some of my experiences with formal education so far as a low-income, first-generation, international student.
