Who’s this kid?
Hello dear reader! My name is Yeabfikir. You can call me Yeab because it is possible that you skimmed over my name and gave up on pronouncing it. No judgement here. The first part of my name, Yeab, is common in Ethiopia, where I am from. The whole of my name means the love of God, unconditional love, agape. I start this page with my name because that is where I began, through the unconditional love of God. I am currently at Brown University studying things! If you’re a low-income, first-generation, and/or international student thinking about pursuing (already pursuing) formal education abroad, reach out to me with questions or thoughts or experiences (@yeabfik1@gmail.com). I will try to write some of my own thoughts and experiences here as well.
People and how our characters come to be interest me. I hope you join me in this journey of figuring out some of my own memories, most of which are from back home in Ethiopia, and how they perhaps have shaped me. I appreciate you and your time, dear reader!
reach out to me @yeabfik1@gmail.com if you have thoughts, suggestions, questions, or topics!
